Il ritorno degli U2 con la loro residency a Las Vegas
È il 1° dicembre, World AIDS Day, e questo giorno coincide con il ritorno degli U2 alla Sphere di Las Vegas, per la prima di 8 date di una seconda parte della loro residency “U2:UV Achtung Baby Live at Sphere”.

Di ieri la triste notizia della morte di Shane MacGowan, cantante e leader del gruppo folk- punk irlandese dei Pogues.
Chissà se stasera Bono e gli U2, suoi grandi amici e ammiratori della sua musica, gli renderanno tributo con qualche breve frammento/snippet dei suoi brani, fra cui le bellissime Rainy Night in Soho, Dirty Old Town o Fairytale of New York.

E così è stato, Bono , al termine di All I Want is You, ha improvvisato un estratto da A Rainy Night in Soho, modificandone alcune parole, celebrando e rendendo tributo a Shane MacGowan.
“I’ve been loving you a long time. Down all the years. Down all the years. And I’m crying for all the troubles. Smiling. We watched our friends go together, we saw as they fell. Some of them fell into Heaven…”
Nella sezione che spezza la prima sequenza di Achtung Baby, tornano Two Hearts Beat as One e Sunday Bloody Sunday.
